Former Kai Sotto teammate Jordan Wilmore eyes move to UP

Kai Sotto’s former teammate at The Skills Factory might be headed to the University of the Philippines.

Jordan Wilmore arrived in the country on Saturday to watch the Fighting Maroons’ game against the University of the East Red Warriors in the 2024 Pinoyliga Collegiate Cup at Paco Arena.

Wilmore, who turns 23 on June 1, is a foreign student-athlete candidate for the Maroons.

Standing at 7-foot-3, Wilmore previously studied at and played for Missouri for two years before transferring to Northwestern State in his junior year.

Last year, he moved to Austin Peay.

Wilmore previously played with Sotto at TSF back in 2019.

If he gets accepted at UP, he will have to sit out one season before being eligible for UAAP Season 88 as a one-and-done player.

Nigerian Dikachi Udodo, formerly from Guang Ming College, will be UP’s FSA in Season 87.

If all goes according to plan, Wilmore will play in Season 88 before Udodo’s return to the team in Season 89.

However, nothing is set in stone yet, according to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation.
