Fil-Am Nation Select is set to welcome five-star prospect Blaze Johnson as it aims for a “three-peat” in the 2026 Smart-NBTC National Finals next week at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Johnson, a 16-year-old, 6-foot-5 guard, is one of the top recruits in the 2028 class.
Last season, he played for the Reapers in Overtime Elite, averaging 12.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
Fil-Am Nation is chasing its third consecutive title, a feat last accomplished by National University Nazareth School in 2018, 2019, and 2023.
Joining Johnson are three-star prospect Quali Giran and Gilas Boys’ pool member Brian Stevenson.
The rest of the squad, coached by Jeff Dosado, includes Sebastian Margate, Daniel Johnson, Trey Pinkard, Jericho Santos, Elias Gish, Jaden Arriaga, Lorenzo Beltran, and Giancarlo Canayunan.
Fil-Am Nation’s second team, under coach Cris Gopez, features Gabriel Apilado, Joey Garcia, Atreju Delacruz, Joaquin Tovera, Earl Santos, Adrian Viray, Jaxshai Gonzales, Luka Cadavos, Luis Razon, Tyonne Brown, and Desmond Colian.
