Students from Far Eastern University have been organizing fundraisers and helping out in relief operations during the on-going coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
First off, Tamaraws like Ino Comboy (basketball), Jude Garcia (volleyball), and Celine Domingo (volleyball) have donated their jersey to the “May Twenty Ako” fundraiser — a drive that is raising funds to purchase personal protective equipment for medical frontliners.
Besides this, student-leaders from the Morayta-based institution have organized drives in their respective areas.
Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines back in 2013 awardee John Michael Lava is among the organizers of fund-raising drive PAKIG-AMBIT. PAKIG-AMBIT is an initiative of Cebu-based accountants to provide Personal Protective Equipment to medical frontliners in the province.
On the other hand, former president of the FEU Tamaraw Volunteers John Paul Uminga is also raising funds for the medical staff of Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital.
Besides this, Patrick Manuel, FEU’s Entrepreneurship Club president, has decided to give back to street vendors, pedicab drivers, jeepney drivers, and stranded dormers in Morayta with his Pantawid COVID Project.
Manuel has been gathering funds and donations and is personally distributing the relief goods.
