Nine-time PBA champion Marc Pingris was the special guest of Far Eastern University during its 2022 Filoil Ecooil Preseason Cup clash against Lyceum of the Philippines University on Monday.
Supporting his alma mater, Pingris revealed to Tiebreaker Times that he got an invitation from the university’s athletic office to be part of the Tamaraws’ coaching staff.
“Ininvite lang nila ako actually, so pag-uusapan pa namin yon. Ako naman willing naman ako pag-ininvite nila ako tas pag sinabi nila kung magtuturo kami, why not diba?” said Pingris.
“Ayun naman ang gusto ko e. Gusto ko i-share yung mga natutunan ko before sa PBA and yung pagtre-training ko sa States dati.”
The two-time PBA finals MVP said that he and the team have a scheduled meeting on Friday regarding the coaching staff position.
During his collegiate days, Pingris was a part of the Philippine School of Business Administration basketball team after transferring from FEU.
Currently, the 6-foot-4 legend is a part of the national team coaching staff as an assistant coach.
