The Lady Tamaraws, looking to end the tournament on a high note, are looking forward to upsetting UST in their final match of the day. However, it was hard to overlook the gutsy NU Lady Bulldogs. The FEU Lady Tams escape with a win over NU behind Sarah Gill and Clouie Bolinas.
Ronnielette Balancio, one of the top finweights in the tournament, defeated Crystal Hukom with a 14-5 win. A string of 3 NU wins, including a sudden death victory by Angela Loren and a bullying 24-3 win by Rheza Aragon, gave a NU a virtual 3-2 lead over FEU. FEU needed to win the lightweight and welterweight matches to avoid an upset. Sarah Gill defeated Rhezie Aragon with an imposing 8-1 win. In the welterweight match Clouie Bolinas shut-out Grace Garfin in a match that saw Bolinas connect on head kicks and a spinning body kick to win by 2nd round stoppage by point gap 13-0 and give FEU the series win.
