Jolina Dela Cruz is set to join her UAAP rivals after signing with Farm Fresh for the upcoming 2024 Premier Volleyball League season.
The former La Salle star is set to bolster Farm Fresh’s young core that includes Trisha Tubu, Kate Santiago, Alyssa Bertolano, Louie Romero, and Pia Ildefonso.
Dela Cruz, alongside former Choco Mucho opposite hitter Caitlyn Viray, headlined the Foxies’ wave of announcements on Saturday, which revealed nine new players joining the squad.
The former F2 Logistics standout was having an impressive rookie year with the Cargo Movers until a leg injury cut her Second All-Filipino Conference campaign short.
On the other hand, Viray was coming off an outstanding year with the Flying Titans as well.
However, the former UST wing spiker eventually found herself struggling to find minutes as Kat Tolentino finally regained her form in the season-ending conference.
Joining Dela Cruz and Viray are former Cargo Movers Elaine Kasilag and Chinnie Arroyo, Jaycel Delos Reyes (Chery Tiggo), Julia Angeles (Galeries), Anj Legacion (PLDT) and rookies Ypril Tapia and Janel Delerio, both from UST.
This comes after Mycah Go, Michelle Gamit, Gayle Pascual, Jessa Dorog, Cloanne Mondoñedo, Zam Nolasco, and Jade Gentapa, who all availed the Games and Amusement Board’s Special Guest License, have returned to College of St. Benilde to focus on the upcoming NCAA season.
