In their second match of the day, the DLSU Lady Spikers held-off the pesky UP Lady Maroons,21-17, 21-17. to secure their second win of the beach volleyball season.
UP’s tandem of Hannah Mangulabnan and Arylle Magtalas managed to keep it close early in bpth sets as Kim Fajardo and Cyd Demecillo looked sluggish coming off their win against the Lady Falcons. But Fajardo and Demecillo managed to pull-away by imposing their will with their superior spiking before the last change courts in both sets. UP managed to come close to winning the second set, forcing a 17-17 tie but would implode and fail to score another point.
