San Miguel big June Mar Fajardo won his third Best Player of the Conference award in a span of six conferences after being named the top gun of the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup Sunday before Game 2 of the finals between San Miguel and Alaska.
Fajardo, winner of the BPC plum in the 2014 and 2015 Philippine Cup conferences, once again dominated opposition by putting up nine double-doubles in the Governors’ Cup while averaging 17.8 PPG, 12.1 RPG, and 1.3 BPG.
Fajardo bested the likes of Terrence Romeo, Marcio Lassiter, and Asi Taulava for the distinction.
Aces reinforcement Romeo Travis meanwhile was named Best Import of the Conference. A proven winner, Travis helped lead the Aces to a league-best 9-2 card in the elimination round while averaging 23.4 PPG, 12.5 RPG, 3.7 APG, 1.9 SPG, and 1.3 BPG.
Travis led the Aces in all five basic statistical categories (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks) and edged Arizona Reid, Marqus Blakely, and Wendell McKines for the award.
