Eya Laure: ‘See you next season UST’

It looks like Eya Laure will be coming back home to España for her final year.

On Sunday, the University of Sto. Tomas star tweeted a photo of herself beside her car inside the university campus, hinting that she might return for her final year in the UAAP Season 85.

“Finally, I’m back home with my Chery Tiggo 2 PRO. Paano ba ‘yan, dito ulit ako dinala ng Chery Tiggo ko,” tweeted Laure.

“See you next season UST Community.”

After placing third in the elimination round of Season 84, the Golden Tigresses went up against the fourth-seeded Ateneo in the opener of the stepladder semifinals. Unfortunately, they suffered a surprising sweep at the hands of the Blue Eagles.

Laure, during a post-game press conference after the loss, bared that she needed to weigh her options first before coming up with a decision.

“Ngayon, gusto ko munang mag-isip,” said Laure, who has been with UST ever since high school.

“Pero syempre pag-iisipan ko yan nang mabuti kasi hindi naman madali iwan na lang ‘yung UST ng ganon ganon lang. So ngayon wala pa talaga akong masasagot diyan (next step).”

Laure ended Season 84 as the best scorer with a total of 272 points. She was also the seventh-best spiker, digger, and receiver of the tournament.
