Evan Nelle to sit out La Salle-UST game due to suspension

Evan Nelle will serve a one-game suspension when De La Salle University takes on University of Santo Tomas on Saturday.

The punishment stems from an unsportmanlike foul Nelle committed against Jerom Lastimosa during the Green Archers’ game against Adamson University last October 22 in Antipolo City.

The incident occurred with 2:13 left in the first quarter of the said game.

Apparently, this is Nelle’s third infraction of the rule.

Back on October 1 during their game against University of the Philippines, Nelle was assessed an unsportsmanlike foul on Cyril Gonzales with 5:04 left in the game.

The second incident occurred during the La Salle-Ateneo game on October 9 when he was called for an unsportsmanlike foul against Forthsky Padrigao with 6:25 left in the second quarter.

Nelle, a transferee from San Beda University, is averaging 10.0 points, 7.8 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per contest.
