CAPAS, TARLAC — Eight years of dominance for Eric Cray.
After a see-saw week that saw him disqualified in the 100m while winning the 400m mixed relay, the 31-year-old Filipino-American made sure to keep his throne in the Southeast Asian Games’ 400m hurdles, Tuesday at the NCC Athletics Center.
Cray finished with a time of 50.21 seconds to blast the competition.
He was 1.39 seconds ahead of Vietnam’s Cong Lich Quach and 1.47 seconds away from compatriot Francis Medina.
“I’m so happy. Been down the last two years for me,” Cray expressed.
This is his fourth straight year to win the crown.
He logged a time of 51.29s in 2013 while setting the games record at 49.40 two years later. Last year, he finished the race with a time of 50.03.
