Frustration got the best of the coaching staff of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Altas after the team suffered an emotional 61-63 loss to the Letran Knights, Friday evening.
After the Altas sang their school hymn, a huge thud echoed through the dugout of the Filoil Flying V Centre, with a member of the team’s coaching staff storming off, clearly frustrated with the loss.
The thud and the cracking sound had come from the door to Perpetual’s locker room, that had come unhinged.
According to Perpetual athletic director Sammy Acaylar, emotions had gotten the best of the Altas and the Perpetual will shoulder the cost to repair the broken door.
The last time this happened in the venue was back in August 18, 2015, when San Beda big man Ola Odeogun broke the door of their locker room during the halftime break of San Beda’s game against the Arellano Chiefs.
