Gilas Pilipinas and Manila Gilas both secured spots in the knockout stage of the 2026 FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series-Xiantao Stop after finishing second in their respective groups on Saturday.
Both Philippine squads posted identical 1-1 records in the main draw, setting up quarterfinal clashes with Gilas taking on top-seeded Ulaanbaatar Amazons at 4:30 p.m. and Manila facing Paraguay at 6 p.m.
Gilas Women also marked the debut of newly naturalized Filipina Elizabeth Means.
However, Means’ first game in Philippine colors ended in a 16-10 loss to Paraguay.
Means finished with five points, seven rebounds, and three blocks, while Camille Clarin and Tantoy Ferrer chipped in two points apiece. Paola Ferrari powered Paraguay with seven points and nine rebounds.
Gilas quickly recovered with a convincing 19-10 victory over China’s Yanjing to clinch a place in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, Manila Gilas opened its campaign with an 11-9 victory over Amgalan before suffering a 22-5 defeat to Ulaanbaatar in a battle between two Mongolian squads.
Ann Pingol and Tin Cayabyab scored four points each to lead Manila past Amgalan.
Ulaanbaatar, however, proved too strong in the second game as Ariuntsetseg Bat-Erdene and Amari Robinson scored eight and six points, respectively, to hand Manila a lopsided defeat.
The remaining quarterfinal matchups will feature Thailand against Japan’s Takasaki, while China takes on New Zealand.
