Dikachi Ududo’s double-double vs Changhua powers UP to 4-0 in Interleague Play


Dikachi Ududo proved his worth by carrying the University of the Philippines to an 85-69 win over Super Basketball League club Changhua BLL, keeping the Fighting Maroons perfect in the 2024 Interleague Play at Keelung Municipal Gym in Taiwan.

Ududo led the way for the 4-0 Fighting Maroons, recording 25 points and 10 rebounds.

The Nigerian big man, along with Gani Stevens, put the finishing touches on the contest, scoring nine and six points, respectively, to fend off the professional team.

Stevens also notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The first half of the contest was close, with UP holding onto a two-point lead after the first 20 minutes of action.

UP then stepped on the gas in the third quarter, with Ududo joining forces with JD Cagulangan and Reyland Torres in a huge scoring burst that turned the game into a rout.

Francis Lopez added 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Cagulangan orchestrated the offense with 10 points, five assists, and four rebounds.

Up next for UP is a matchup against the T1 League team Taiwan Beer.

Mongolian import Sugar-Ochir Erdenetsetseg led Changhua with 23 points and six rebounds.
