Demonkite moves from RSG PH to MY

Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto is set to transfer to RSG Philippines’ sister team, RSG Malaysia, for the upcoming MPL Malaysia Season 12, the team announced on Wednesday night.

Demonkite will join fellow Filipino Dale “Stowm” Vidor in the roster.

“Once, he rocked the MLBB scene in MPL PH, and now it’s time for him to terrorize in MPL MY! Demonkite will play as the Jungler for RSG MY in the upcoming season,” said the team in a Facebook post.

The 20-year-old jungler skipped the recent MPL Philippines season after going through an exhausting 2022 campaign that saw him lead RSG Philippines to the MPL PH Season 9 title and the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup.

RSG PH, unfortunately, finished third in Season 10 and missed the M4 World Championships. This forced Demonkite to take a break from the competitive scene.

With Demonkite sitting out Season 11, John Paul “H2wo” Salonga inherited the starting jungler role before eventually getting replaced by up-and-coming star John “1rrad” Tuason, who played spectacularly for the team in the playoffs.

RSG PH eventually ended up in third place in Season 11 after losing to ECHO in five games in the lower bracket finals.

Demonkite will join an RSG Malaysia side that finished seventh in the MPL Malaysia Season 11.
