Danny Kingad-Hexigetu bout cancelled once again

After ONE Championship: Conquest of Kings, a card that was supposed to feature a bout pitting Danny Kingad and Hexigetu, was postponed, the match-up was moved to ONE Championship: Quest for Greatness. However, the bout was not meant to be, as Kingad’s Chinese opponent pulled out of the bout a week prior to the event.

“We’ve been all waiting for another Danny Kingad bout but fate is not playing on our side this time,” disclosed Team Lakay coach Mark Sangiao.

“From Hexigetu’s camp, something transpired, mothballing their fight.”

Kingad is currently 6-0, his last win coming by way of unanimous decision during Kings of Destiny last April.

Still, Sangiao expressed that his two fighters, Kevin Belingon and Edward Kelly, will put on a show in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

“Having said that, Lakay Kevin and Edward Kelly are forging ahead,” Sangiao furthered. “Them on the card, it’s going to be highly-charged matches!”
