Dalph Panopio’s next journey will be in Korea.
The elite 6-foot-1 floor general has signed with Suwon KT for the 2024-25 Korean Basketball League season.
The Sonicboom made the announcement on Monday.
Panopio, 24, was part of the Gilas team that competed in the 2019 FIBA Under-19 World Cup.
After his stint, he went on to re-establish his amateur status with junior college South Plains before transferring to Division I school CSU Bakersfield, where he spent the last three years.
He ended his Roadrunners career with averages of 4.1 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
Now, he replaces Dave Ildefonso as the Asian import for Suwon KT.
Ildefonso only played a total of 44 games in two years with the Sonicboom.
Last season, the Sonicboom entered the playoffs as the third seed. They advanced to the finals before bowing to Busan KCC in four games.
