Creamline vs Choco Mucho II sets PH volleyball attendance record

The SMART Araneta Coliseum witnessed a historic moment in Philippine volleyball history on Saturday evening as Game Two of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2nd All-Filipino Conference Finals between Creamline and Choco Mucho drew an unprecedented 24,459 fans, setting a new attendance record.

Surpassing the previous milestone set by the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) on April 30, 2016, this record-breaking turnout underscores the escalating popularity and fervor for volleyball in the country.

The previous record, established during the epic rubber match between Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University, had drawn 22,848 spectators.

In a fiercely contested battle, the Lady Spikers triumphed over the Lady Eagles with a hard-fought victory of 25–19, 21–25, 16–25, 16–25.
