Creamline PH reunites with Tai Bundit in Thailand

A familiar face was on the sidelines when the Philippine Women’s National Volleyball Team had its last training session before they face Thailand in the 2022 ASEAN Grand Prix on Friday.

Former Creamline head coach Tai Bundit helped out PWNVT head coach Sherwin Meneses during the session held at Korat Chatchai Hall.

It can be recalled that Bundit resigned from being an assistant coach to the national team last year.

Bundit’s resignation letter stated that he “wanted to take care of his family due to the rising COVID-19 cases in Thailand.”

As fate would have it, it’s Creamline that has been representing the country in international competitions over the past month.

Also helping out the team is Alyssa Valdez, who had just recovered from dengue fever.

“I’m feeling so much better now. I’m on the road to full recovery already,” the decorated spiker said. “I came here in Thailand to be with the team so I can start practicing with them and really cheer for them here in the ASEAN Grand Prix.”

Composing the team are Jia De Guzman, Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza, Ced Domingo, Jeanette Panaga, Michele Gumabao, Ella de Jesus, Risa Sato, Pau Soriano, Kyla Atienza, Fille Cayetano, Kyle Negrito, Rosemarie Vargas and Rizza Mandapat.

In the earlier match for the day, Vietnam swept Indonesia, 25-23, 25-19, 25-9.
