Creamline limits Chef’s Classics to PVL record-low in second set, cruises to 3-0

Reigning champion Creamline barely faced any resistance while belting the Chef’s Classic Red Spikers with a 25-12, 25-5, 25-15 whipping in the 2019 PVL Open Conference, Sunday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

The Cool Smashers opened the match with guns blazing, firing on all cylinders and mounting a comfortable 16-1 cushion. Though Jinggay Bangad stopped the bleeding for the Red Spikers, Creamline still coasted through the rest of the set.

Creamline then raced to another 16-1 spread in the second frame before establishing a 20-point cushion at 25-5 — the biggest lead established in a set in league history.

The lopsided theme extended to the third chapter. The Cool Smashers erected another insurmountable lead, zooming to their third straight victory.

Creamline will look to book their fourth straight win when they face the BanKo Perlas Spikers on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Chef’s Classic will square off against fellow newcomers Choco Mucho on Saturday.
