Converge isn’t done making moves.
The FiberXers have traded Bryan Santos and the eighth overall pick in the 2025 PBA Draft to the Phoenix Fuel Masters in exchange for the second overall pick in this year’s draft and a second-round pick in next year’s draft.
The PBA approved the deal on Friday.
This move comes just a day after Converge acquired the rights to Larry Muyang from Phoenix, while sending Jeo Ambohot to NorthPort and Evan Nelle to the Fuel Masters in a three-team transaction.
It’s a major acquisition for the FiberXers, who are hoping Juan Gomez de Liano will still be available when they exercise the No. 2 pick.
Terrafirma owns the top selection in Sunday’s draft, which will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.
Santos, the 14th overall pick in 2023, spent the past two seasons with Converge. The 6-foot-5 stretch forward was part of the team’s regular rotation but only averaged 4.33 points per game in the last Philippine Cup.
Now, he looks to find a fresh start with the Fuel Masters.
