CJ Perez named 2018 D-League Aspirants’ Cup MVP

Zark’s-Lyceum Jawbreakers main man CJ Perez has added another trophy to his collection.

This time, the 23 for 2023 Gilas Cadets was named as the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup Most Valuable Player.

The reigning NCAA MVP averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.9 steals en route to the plum.

The 24-year-old guard bested teammate Jaycee Marcelino; Che’lu-San Sebastian Revellers’ Allyn Bulanadi and Samboy De Leon; and Akari-Adamson Falcons’ Sean Manganti in the race.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial awarded the crown to Perez on Thursday afternoon at the Ynares Arena before Game Two of the Finals pitting the Jawbreakers against the Revellers.

Zark’s-Lyceum are fighting for dear life as of press time as Che’lu currently hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series.
