CJ Cansino out for UP-La Salle KO match

CJ Cansino will remain out for University of the Philippines during its win-or-go-home match against De La Salle University on Friday evening.

Multiple sources closely monitoring the situation have confirmed to Tiebreaker Times that the 6-foot-2 do-it-all winger will sit out the game later. He is still recovering from the bone bruise on his right knee.

The injury occurred during UP’s clash with Ateneo last Sunday.

With 39 seconds left in the third canto, Cansino and Chris Koon figured in a crash. The Blue Eagle accidentally fell on the Maroon’s left knee.

Though he was able to get up on his own strength, Cansino missed Game One of the Final Four last Wednesday that saw the Green Archers take an 83-80 victory.

One of the sources added that Cansino is now just working on regaining his explosiveness and will be ready for Sunday if UP advances to the Finals.
