Chris Hubilla vows to make Mapua his last stop

Chris Hubilla has firmly decided to make Mapua University his final destination.

Indeed, the hardworking 6-foot-4 native of Bicol will enroll at Mapua once he completes his Grade 12 studies in a month.

It has been a challenging year for Hubilla, who committed to the University of the Philippines a year ago before pledging to join Colegio de San Juan de Letran earlier this year.

But like any young person, settling down was difficult for him.

After all, his choice of college would determine who he will be for at least the next four years.

Only a few weeks ago, Hubilla decided to join Randy Alcantara’s Cardinals.

One factor influencing his decision was the opportunity to play alongside Cyril Gonzales, a player he grew close to at UP.

Although it has been a roller-coaster ride for Hubilla, he asks for understanding regarding the choices he has made.

Hubilla will join Mapua in the 21st ASEAN University Games in Surabaya in June.
