Chooks-to-Go continues to show support to the frontliners who are making the ultimate sacrifice for the country.
For the past two days, the hardworking staff of Bounty Agro Ventures Inc. (BAVI) have been working non-stop, and not just to continue the operations of the company’s brands. They are also roaming around the country to help the health workers, military men, and volunteers who have been making the ultimate sacrifice in stopping the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“As we all struggle to keep safe and secure in our homes, our military men are out there, away from their families, ensuring peace and harmony in our country,” said BAVI president Ronald Mascariñas, who also owns sports league Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3.
“It is difficult, but somebody has got to do it. No other agency of government has the command structure, personnel, and training to enforce the enhanced quarantine now in place in the entire Luzon and many other parts of the country.”
Packed meals were served to the men and women manning the checkpoints in Lagro, Novaliches; Padre Diego Cera, Las Pinas; Cabiao, Nueva Ecija; Banaba and Batasan Filinvest, Rizal; Liwasang, Marikina; Talipapa, Caloocan City; Taguig; Bustos and Marilao, Bulacan; Camachile, Pampanga; Cagayan de Oro; Cabanatuan-Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija; Marikina City-Pasig boundary; and the Philippine Army Command Center in Paranaque City.
Besides this, the doctors, nurses, and medical staff from Ospital ng Maynila, Our Lourdes Hospital, Pasay City General Hospital, Novaliches General Hospital, San Lazaro Hospital, Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital, and The Medical City Ortigas were also given hundreds of packed meals by BAVI.
“This is Chooks’ way of supporting and appreciating their efforts and sacrifices,” added Mascariñas.
“And we will continue to repay their ultimate sacrifice until this fight is over because they are our modern-day heroes.”
Last Monday, Chooks-to-Go sent 1,000 packed meals to the doctors, nurses, and medical staff of Philippine General Hospital.
Mascariñas also pledged to serve every dormer stranded in University of the Philippines Los Baños lunch and dinner for the duration of the enhanced community quarantine.
