Charles Tiu out for St. Benilde clash vs Baste

College of Saint Benilde will not have its head coach calling the shots when it takes on San Sebastian College-Recoletos on Friday.

Charles Tiu is out for the Blazers as he is currently feeling under the weather.

Making his NCAA head coaching debut for CSB is assistant coach Paolo Layug.

The Blazers won their season debut last Sunday, routing Lyceum of the Philippines University, 86-69, last Sunday.

During the game, four Blazers finished in double figures led by Rob Nayve’s 18 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Joining Nayve in the Blazers’ scoring outburst were Miguel Oczon and JC Cullar. The former had 13 markers, two boards, four dimes, and two steals while the latter ended up with 12 points, five assists, and two rebounds.

Will Gozum also finished with a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Golden Stags took a 60-51 triumph over Arellano three days ago.

The game tips off at 3:00 PM.
