Korean Basketball League team Changwon LG arrived in the country on Monday, choosing to set up camp here for its final preparation for the upcoming season.
Besides this being a homecoming for Justin Gutang, there are two more familiar faces who are part of the Sakers contingent.
The head coach of Changwon LG is Cho Sang-hyun. Cho was the one calling the shots for Korea during the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers.
Meanwhile, former Phoenix Asian import Lee Gwan-hee is also playing for the Sakers.
The Sakers will be playing seven games in eight days at Kerry Sports in Shangri-La BGC.
They face NLEX on Wednesday before taking on Rain or Shine on Thursday.
After a one-day break, they square off against Blackwater and Meralco during the weekend.
Changwon LG will then face Tab Baldwin and Ateneo on Monday before going up against Magnolia.
They will cap their camp against University of the Philippines on Wednesday.
The Sakers defeated the Fighting Maroons twice during the latter’s camp in Korea.
