Centeno, Amit end up with two SEAG golds each, reign in 10-ball double

After splitting the golds in the individual events, Chezka Centeno and Rubilen Amit still ended up with two golds apiece.

The country’s top lady cue artists joined hands in whitewashing the Indonesian duo of Fathrah Masum and Nony Andilah, 7-0, to claim the women’s 9-ball doubles gold in the 30th Southeast Asian Games at the Manila Hotel Tent.

Masum tried to break a two-nine cluster in the third frame, opening up the table for cleaning for the Filipinas. Eventually, Centeno pocketed the nine-ball, then never looked back with a 3-0 lead.

A break and run in the following rack, plus another clean up off an Indonesia error, sent Centeno and Amit to 5-0 lead, a lead Indonesia could not overcome.

With that, the two topnotch Filipina cue artists will both end up with two golds after Centeno’s gold in the 10-ball singles and Amit’s mint in the 9-ball. They also bagged a silver apiece after finishing second to each other in the respective events.
