With Tropang TNT now eliminated in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup, the Tropa’s guard Jayson Castro said his focus will now shift to returning to Gilas Pilipinas practice.
Castro was limited to only six points and six assists in the series decider, shooting just 2-for-10 from the field. He was also a minus-14, as TNT lost to the Alaska Aces, 99-81.
“Ganoon talaga. Lesson na naman para sa amin ‘to. Nakuha namin yung Game 1 pero hindi naman namin ma-finish yung best of three. Ang sama pa ng ending,” Castro said after the game.
“Next time, ‘tong talong ‘to, sana ito ang magbigay sa amin ng championship o makapasok sa finals. Ganoon talaga, lahat naman ginawa namin.”
Castro gave credit to the Aces for their effort in Game Three, and added TNT should continue to work on its chemistry as the season progresses.
“Magaling yung coaches and players ng kabila, yung determination nila manalo.
Tsaka yung samahan namin, medyo bago pa kasi (yung iba).”
Castro said he proceed with resting his achilles injury in the next few weeks to make sure he will be at full-strength when he returns to Gilas practice.
