Calisaan left disappointed as Stags fall short, admits Adeogun wore him out

Michael Calisaan had the gargantuan task of defending Ola Adeogun during the San Sebastian Stags’ battle against the San Beda Red Lions, and admitted it was the turning point, as the hulking big got the better of him in the end.

The Stags did not have the best of frontlines to stop the Red Lions’ bigs, and it allowed Adeogun to dominate with 28 points and 14 rebounds.

It did not help that San Sebastian’s lone legitimate big man, Bradwyn Guinto, was nursing foul trouble, as Calisaan was left with no choice but to try his best in containing Adeogun.

Calisaan did finish with 17 points, but admits he could have done better, although all the contact underneath wore him out offensively. The forward also fouled out amidst the Golden Stags’ comeback attempt, making it even more disappointing for him.

Sayang talaga.”

But Calisaan says he will not stop developing himself into an even stronger forward, as his family pushes him to do his best each time.

“Ready naman ako (in the future). Para sa pamilya ko to. Ginagawa ko silang motivation.”
