Creamline coach Tai Bundit will arrive in the country on Thursday as confirmed by Premier Volleyball League commissioner Tonyboy Liao.
The former Ateneo Lady Eagles head coach will have to undergo a 10-day quarantine period upon arrival to the Philippines.
He will need a negative RT-PCR test result after 10 days before travelling to Laoag, Ilocos Norte. The Thai coach will also need to yield a negative antigen test result upon arrival to the province before he can enter the PVL bubble.
The three-time PVL and two-time UAAP champion coach is expected to arrive in the bubble on either July 26 or 27, if things fall into place.
Bundit will miss Creamline’s first four games against Sta. Lucia (July 17), Petro Gazz (July 20), Army (July 22), and Cherry Tiggo (July 25).
Bundit is also an assistant coach for the Philippine Women’s National Volleyball Team that is also preparing for the 2021 Asian Women’s Championship in Laoag.
Creamline assistant coach Sherwin Meneses will call the shots in Bundit’s absence.
