Luck is finally on the side of Northport.
Besides getting a new import in Kevin Murphy, the Batang Pier will have their ace guard Robert Bolick starting on Friday when they face Ginebra at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The development was confirmed to Tiebreaker Times by Northport officials.
With Bolick’s return, this ends a short stalemate between Northport and its top guard.
The 6-foot-1 guard out of San Beda saw his contract expire last January 31.
But prior to the lapse of his contract, the third overall pick in the 2018 PBA Rookie Draft did not suit up for Northport during their games against Converge, Meralco, and NLEX.
According to Snow Badua, Bolick could not secure his letter of clearance (LOC) which was required for him to transfer to an overseas team.
Northport exercised its 30-day right to match on Bolick, who was a restricted free agent.
The contract Bolick signed though would only last until the end of the ongoing PBA Governors’ Cup.
The signing season for the B.League begins on June 1.
