Daniel Ochefu’s PBA stint did not last long.
After just two games, the 6-foot-11 center has been let go by Blackwater, per sources, as the team remains in search of a win in the Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup.
Their eventual 99-88 defeat to Terrafirma proved to be their final outing together, as the Bossing are ready to move on with a new import in Robert Upshaw.
In fact, he’s already in town, and even joined the team in their clash versus the Dyip at the Ynares Center here. He watched the game from behind their bench.
Listed at 7-feet, Upshaw carries a basketball resume made extensive by stints in the G League, Lebanon, Iran, Spain, Taiwan, and China, to name a few.
The former Washington Huskies center most recently suited up for the Jiangsu Yannan Suke of the National Basketball League in China.
Upshaw is set to play in the Philippines for the first time, with a team that hasn’t tasted a win since a 107-87 rout of Terrafirma in the last Philippine Cup.
