Bismarck Lina to remain in UST

Needing another big body to complement Soulemane Chabi Yo, Aldin Ayo and University of Santo Tomas found one.

Fortunately, they did not need to look far.

UST Tiger Cub Bismarck Lina has decided to join the Growling Tigers in a dinner with Ayo and school officials, Thursday evening.

Lina, who stands at 6-foot-5, averaged 16.6 points in 54.7 percent shooting and 10.9 rebounds during his senior year.

Moreover, the 18-year-old also has a wealth of international experience under his belt. He was part of the Gilas Youth team that played in the 2017 FIBA U16 Asia, 2018 U17 World, and 2018 U18 Asia Championships.

Securing Lina is another testament to the program Ayo has been building. Over the last two years, UST has also retained its top high school stars in CJ Cansino and Mark Nonoy.

Besides this, UST will have STI-West Negros University standout Aldave Canoy.

Canoy stands at 6-foot-1 and is said to be like Rhenz Abando in play.
