Bertolano forgoes collegiate years, signs with Gerflor

New Premier Volleyball League club Gerflor unveiled sux new additions to its team.

In a surprise, University of the Philippines stalwart Alyssa Bertolano has decided to turn pro after just two years.

The 20-year-old opposite hitter made waves during the UAAP Season 84 tournament but her minutes dropped in her sophomore year.

Also introduced by the team is veteran Shannen Palec. Palec was previously part of Choco Mucho during the bubble tournament.

Manning the floor for the Defenders are former Balipure libero Julia Angeles and ex-Chery Tiggo libero Pia Sarmiento.

Other players unveiled by Gerflor are playmakers Fhen Emnas and Sarah Verutiao.

Emnas, a product of Adamson University, last played for Philippine Army in the PVL back in the 2021 Open Conference.

Meanwhile, Verutiao last played for the Arellano Lady Chiefs in the NCAA Season 95.
