Ben Mbala had himself a game during Cameroon’s 90-58 decimation of Equatorial Guinea in the 2021 FIBA Afrobasket Qualifiers, Saturday morning (Manila time) in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
The two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player had 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting to go along with five rebounds and four steals.
It was a dominant outing by the former La Salle Green Archer and the rest of Cameroon against Equatorial Guinea.
Cameroon was unrelenting all throughout the game, leading 31-16 early. Cameroon, the 65th-ranked team in the world, led by as much as 36 points against their lowly-ranked opponents.
Mbala capped the game with a thunderous windmill jam.
The 24-year-old Mbala is currently playing for French team CSP Limoges. He also had stints with Mexican team Fuerza Regia, French squads Chorale Roanne and Aix Maurienne Savoie Basket, and Korean club Seoul Samsung Thunders.
