The University of Santo Tomas Tigresses opened their day with a two set trouncing of the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws, 21-15 and 21-16, extending their winning streak to four wins.
The FEU lady spikers found no answer for the fiery Cherry Rodrinas, whose spikes and services aces proved too much for the tandem of Pons and Simborio. Though the FEU spikers would manage to force their opponents to an error now and then to boost their own score, the UST blitz would prove too much to handle. Unable to respond with the same vigor offensively or to limit the scoring for UST’s Rodrinas and Rivera by owning the net, FEU could only watch as the Tigresses bagged their second straight set in thrity-one minutes.
Standings:
UST: 4-0
FEU: 3-1
Aggregate score:
UST-42
FEU- 31
Total match time: 31 mins.

After struggling in the opening weekend, Season 76 women’s beach volleyball champions Adamson University Lady Falcons capped off a successful third game day after outlasting the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws in three sets, 17-21, 21-19, and 15-8.
Adamsons Amanda Villanueva and Marissa Cortel found themselves unable to stave off a sudden FEU rally which saw Bernadette Pons and Charm Simporio capitalize on a series of Adamson errors and overtake the Lady Falcons to bag the set. Villanueva’s stealthy digs would prove effective in the second set, as the Adamson spikers outlasted their opponents to escape with a 21-19 set victory to force a tiebreaking third set. With momentum still on their side, Villanueva and Cortel would find themselves with a 15-8 lead in the set to seal the victory.
