Bea De Leon to join Foton

Middle blocker Bea De Leon is set to beef up Philippine Superliga club Foton Tornadoes, the team announced on Saturday evening.

De Leon will form a triple tower frontline with Foton’s vaunted Jaja Santiago and Dindin Manabat.

The former Ateneo Lady Eagles’ addition comes just in time, as Santiago is set to play in Japan later this year – meaning she might not be available for the All-Filipino Cup.

De Leon will suit up in the upcoming Invitational Cup and will look to help Foton win their first championship since 2016.

Still undecided if she will foregoe her final playing year for Ateneo, De Leon is the second Lady Eagle to make her debut in the Invitational Cup, with Jho Maraguinot taking her talents to the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors.
