BBM arrives for Gilas-KSA game

Bongbong Marcos watched his first sporting spectacle as president of the Republic of the Philippines during Gilas Pilipinas’ home game against Saudi Arabia in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers, Monday at SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Marcos arrived with just under three minutes left in the third quarter of the game and Gilas up 49-34.

The president sat beside Gilas booster Manny V. Pangilinan in the patron section of the venue.

The fans inside the Pasay City venue serenaded the president with chants of, ‘BBM’.

Marcos is just one of the many VIPs who watched Jordan Clarkson’s home debut for Gilas.

Also in attendance were former President Rodrigo Duterte; Senators Bong Go and Bato Dela Rosa; and Pasig mayor Vico Sotto, along with dad Vic.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial and UAAP executive director Rebo Saguisag were also part of the 19,829 fans inside the venue.
