Batiller set to trasfer to Letran

Former University of the East Red Warriors ace Bonbon Batiller will join an NCAA team. However, it won’t be for the Arellano University Chiefs, as previously reported.

Batiller made a detour from Legarda Street to Muralla in Intramuros, as he is set to join the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights for the 94th Season of the NCAA, a team insider confirmed to Tiebreaker Times.

“Yes, Batiller is back in Manila and is already in Letran,” said the source, who requested anonymity.

This was also confirmed by the 22-year-old in a short message.

The native of General Santos City was previously in talks with Arellano but the move did not push through.

Batiller played a season with Holy Trinity College before transferring to the University of the East back in 2014. He averaged 10.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.6 steals during his two year stay in Recto.

He will have to sit out a full year.

Batiller will be joined by former De La Salle University Green Archer Larry Muyang for Letran’s Season 94 campaign.
