Comissioner Jao told the press during the halftime of the UP vs Adamson game that the protest of FEU was invalid.
The commissioner clarified that the Von Pessumal shot was indeed a three point shot. The referees indicated that it was a three point shot but the scorer was unable to see the call.
He emphasised that from the very start, they were trying to correct the referees and say it was a three-pointer. It was seating constraints that hindered them from immediately correcting the score.
He also added that the technicality part cannot be valid since they never deviated from the rules.
“There was no need of a challenge because from the very start alam namin na mali yung score,” he said. “Also scores can be corrected before the end of the quarter”.
