Baser Amer attends first practice after being named to SEA Games XII


The Meralco Bolts’ super sophomore Baser Amer participated in his first practice with Gilas Pilipinas after being named to the team that will compete in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, Thursday night.

Fifteen players who attended Wednesday afternoon’s practice were also attendance. Kevin Ferrer, Kiefer Ravena, Bobby Ray Parks Jr., Kobe Paras, Carl Cruz, Matthew Wright, Von Pessumal, Christian Standhardinger, Ed Daquioag, Jiovani Jalalon, Almond Vosotros, Mac Belo, Mike Tolomia, and Raymar Jose actively participated in drills headed by assistant coach Josh Reyes.

Gilas’ Jones Cup reinforcement Mike Myers completed Thursday night’s cast. Fonzo Gotladera was not present after attending the first three practices.

Out of the 12 players that have been lined-up for the 2017 SEA Games, only Troy Rosario has yet to attend a session as his club team, TNT Katropa, are still in the midst of their best-of-seven Finals series against the San Miguel Beermen.
