Ballout: Mallillin, Aquino to Rizal to finals clash vs Marikina

It was an intense battle between four basketball teams vying for the championship title in the Ballout Sports Season 2. But in the end, only Xentro Mall Rizal and Marikina were left standing, earning their rightful spots in the National Finals.

The Golden Coolers and the Shoelanders proved their worth by outlasting their rivals in the division finals held at the Marikina Sports Center.

In the provincial division, Xentro Mall Rizal faced a formidable opponent in the form of celebrity baller Gerald Anderson and KalosPH. With Aljon Capbres out due to a swollen thumb, Xentro Mall had to rely on Patrick Aquino and JBoy Gob to provide the offensive firepower needed to win.

The game was neck-and-neck until the very end, with Anderson missing a potential game-tying three-point shot. Xentro Mall emerged victorious, 90-87, claiming the provincial division title.

Aquino ended up with 21 points, four assists, and two steals while Gob had 10 points and five rebounds.

Troy Mallilin also contributed significantly to the team’s success, scoring 19 points, grabbing nine rebounds, and making three steals.

Meanwhile, the Shoelanders had to fight tooth and nail to win against Game Changer Novaliches in the NCR division.

It was a grueling game that required the team’s best players to step up and deliver. In the end, the Shoelanders emerged triumphant with a final score of 81-76.

However, it wasn’t an easy win for the team. They had to rely on five players scoring in double figures and come up with crucial stops to prevent Novaliches from making a comeback.

Adzhar Udjan, one of the team’s key players, committed two errors down the stretch, giving the Shoelanders the opportunity they needed to secure their victory.
