Coming off their first winning streak of the season, Kobe Paras and Niigata could not sustain their momentum, bowing to Utsunomiya, 74-51, in the 2021-22 B.League season, Wednesday at Brex Arena.
Albirex shot just 3-of-16 from the field, putting up just seven points to start the game. Isaac Fotu, on the other hand, already got 12 points during that span, going 6-of-6 from the field.
Things did not get much better in the second frame as Niigata went just 3-of-14 from the field for nine points to fall behind 43-16 at the half.
The Brex lead went to as high as 29 points in the game as they cruised to a 19-9 record.
Fotu ended up with 25 points and 11 rebounds while Makoto Hiejima and Hirohibe Araya added 10 points each.
Rosco Allen tallied a double-double for Niigata with 20 points and 15 rebounds while Yuto Nohmi added 14 points built on four treys.
Kobe Paras only got four points on 2-of-10 shooting from the field.
Paras and Niigata will next face Gunma this weekend at City Hall Plaza Aore.
