B.League: Kobe Paras, Niigata sent crashing back down by Utsunomiya

Coming off their first winning streak of the season, Kobe Paras and Niigata could not sustain their momentum, bowing to Utsunomiya, 74-51, in the 2021-22 B.League season, Wednesday at Brex Arena.

Albirex shot just 3-of-16 from the field, putting up just seven points to start the game. Isaac Fotu, on the other hand, already got 12 points during that span, going 6-of-6 from the field.

Things did not get much better in the second frame as Niigata went just 3-of-14 from the field for nine points to fall behind 43-16 at the half.

The Brex lead went to as high as 29 points in the game as they cruised to a 19-9 record.

Fotu ended up with 25 points and 11 rebounds while Makoto Hiejima and Hirohibe Araya added 10 points each.

Rosco Allen tallied a double-double for Niigata with 20 points and 15 rebounds while Yuto Nohmi added 14 points built on four treys.

Kobe Paras only got four points on 2-of-10 shooting from the field.

Paras and Niigata will next face Gunma this weekend at City Hall Plaza Aore.
