B.League: Javi GDL plays four minutes as Ibaraki snaps skid

Ibaraki snapped its two-game slide, taking a 96-70 win over Kyoto in the 2021-22 B.League season, Sunday at Kyoto City Gymnasium.

The Robots racked up their eighth win for the season, climbing up to 8-28 while dropping the Hannaryz to the same record.

It was an excellent overall performance by Ibaraki, that saw its lead by as much as 26 points during the closing seconds of the contest.

The Robots saw playmaker Kohei Fukuzawa shoot the lights out, finishing with 27 points on six triples. Both Chehales Tapscott and Asahi Tajima added 13 points each while Eric Jacobsen tallied a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

After being a DNP in their last two games, Javi Gomez de Liano finally saw some playing time, playing four minutes and 44 seconds. He missed both of his shot attempts.

Tatsuya Suzuki led the Hannaryz with 16 points while Yoshiaki Kurota added 14 points from off the bench.

Ibaraki will next face Mikawa next weekend at Adastria Mito Arena.

Over at Toyama, the Grouses improved to a 16-22 record after beating Shibuya (21-16), 89-76.

Dwight Ramos was welcomed back by the team but did not play in the contest.
