B.League imports Ravena bros, Dwight Ramos commit for Window 5

B.League imports Kiefer Ravena of Shiga, Thirdy Ravena of San-En, and Dwight Ramos of Hokkaido have re-affirmed their commitment to the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas for the November window of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

The federation made the announcement on Sunday evening through a press release.

The trio though will not be able to join Gilas Men’s trainings starting on Monday as they are already in Japan preparing for the 2022-23 B.League season.

The Ravenas and Ramos will arrive once the league makes its first FIBA break for the season beginning on October 27.

Also announced as part of the pool are Ateneo’s Angelo Kouame, UP’s Carl Tamayo, La Salle’s Kevin Quiambao, and free agent Francis Lopez, according to Gilas coach Chot Reyes.

Taking part in Monday’s practice are San Miguel’s June Mar Fajardo and CJ Perez; TNT’s Roger Pogoy, Calvin Oftana, and Poy Erram; and Ginebra’s Scottie Thompson, Japeth Aguilar, and Arvin Tolentino.

Also called up are Meralco’s Chris Newsome, NLEX’s Kevin Alas, and Northport’s Jamie Malonzo.

The Philippines will have away games for the fifth window, facing Jordan on November 10 and Saudi Arabia on November 13.
