Toyama suffered a sweep at the hands of Shimane, falling 76-87 in the 2021-22 B.League season, Sunday at Toyama City Gymnasium.
And it was the same story as the Grouses’ 75-79 loss to the same team yesterday.
Behind the quartet of Dwight Ramos, Brice Johnson, Joshua Smith, and Naoki Uto, Toyama was up by as many as 13 points in the contest.
The Susanoo Magic though stormed back, eventually tying the game at 73-all with four minutes left after a Nyika Williams bucket.
Nick Kay, Seiya Ando, and Perrin Buford then took charge from there, taking an 81-73 lead.
A Johnson trey with 1:31 left tried to stop the bleeding but Williams, Ryo Abe, and Kay nailed the big buckets to seal the win.
Shimane went up to 30-10 with the victory while dropping Toyama to its fourth straight loss to fall to 16-26.
Seiya Ando played all 40 minutes of the contest, finishing with 21 points on six treys.
Buford tallied a triple-double with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists while Kay and Williams got 16 points each. Kay also grabbed 12 rebounds.
Johnson also played all 40 minutes of the game, tallying 19 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists. Smith got 18 points and 14 rebounds while Ramos got 18 points, five rebounds, three steals, and a block.
Up next for Toyama is Shinshu on Wednesday.
