Ateneo-La Salle banners UAAP 84 volleyball opening day


The biggest rivalry in collegiate sports will headline opening day of the UAAP Season 84 Women’s Volleyball Tournament.

Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University will be the 4:00 PM game of the tournament that opens on May 5 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The last time the Lady Eagles and the Lady Spikers met was back on March 8, 2020 which saw La Salle take a 25-17, 17-25, 25-17, 25-15.

It was the only game of the Ramil de Jesus-mentored squad for the season as the tournament was ultimately scrapped due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Opening the four-game slate is University of Santo Tomas versus Far Eastern University at 10:00AM.

National University takes on Adamson University at 12:00NN while University of the Philippines versus University of the East caps the gameday at 6:00PM.

Gamedays are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

All games in the first round will still take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
