Ateneo alums fire up Blue Eagles ahead of Game Two

To inspire the down Ateneo Blue Eagles, Tab Baldwin made sure to call his ex-generals up to fire them up.

Last Monday, nine members of past gold medal-winning Ateneo teams paid a visit to Moro Lorenzo Gym to give a talk to the current batch of Blue Eagles.

Ateneo is down 0-1 to foil University of the Philippines in the best-of-three UAAP Men’s Basketball Finals.

“How incredibly blessed my team and I were to have these BEBOB Champions join us at practice tonight to share their wonderful insights in the Finals experience,” read Baldwin’s post.

“I’m so humbled by their love for our program and our university.”

Visiting the Blue Eagles were alums Vince Tolentino, Anton Asisitio, Isaac Go, Matt and Mike Nieto, Adrian Wong, William Navarro, Gian Mamuyac, and Tyler Tio.

All nine players were part of the team that toppled the Ben Mbala-powered De La Salle University in Season 80, took Round 1 of the Battle of Katipunan Finals in Season 81, and swept Season 82.

All of the ex-Blue Eagles are now playing in the pros.
