Kai Ballungay led the Blue Eagles with 19 points, eight rebounds, and two assists.
Joseph Obasa barely missed a double-double with 12 rebounds and nine points, accompanied by two assists, three blocks, and two steals.
Every Blue Eagle fielded scored in the contest.
The Blazers, who dropped to 0-2, were led by Miguel Oczon with 17 points, eight rebounds, and three assists, while Miggy Corteza added 13 points, two rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two steals.
Earlier in the day, Far Eastern University also took the lead in Pool B after giving the Pilipinas Aguilas a rude welcome with an 87-74 victory.
Xyrus Torres once again starred for the Tamaraws, now 2-0 in Group B, with 21 points, nine rebounds, and three steals off the bench.
Patrick Sleat added 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and five steals off the bench, while Renzo Competente put up 12 points, two rebounds, and one assist.
Edrian Ramirez fired 29 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and one steal, while Eugene Toba added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Aguilas.
Meanwhile, the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA scored a 78-75 victory over Corsa Tires in its debut, while Sanzar kept San Beda-Machateam winless with a 74-58 triumph.
Carlo Ferreras led Perpetual Help with 21 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals, while Arthur Roque finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, and one block.
Raoul Odou led the Fire Tigers with 32 points, 17 rebounds, and one steal.
